The SE Regional STEM Hub of the Governor's STEM Advisory Council, the University of Iowa College of Education and the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa will be hosting a Pre-Service STEM Teacher Conference on March 2-3, 2018. The goal of the conference is to provide pre-service teachers from across the state, interested in STEM teaching and learning, a chance to find out more about different approaches and opportunities in STEM education and to network with one another.

Overview of the Conference: Friday evening will include a networking reception, a dinner and keynote speaker along with an opportunity for students to meet each other. Saturday will include a light continental breakfast, breakout sessions in which faculty members, administrators, and statewide STEM education leaders will present information about unique and innovative approaches to STEM education. Lunch will also be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with groups from across the state who provide resources for STEM educators and panels of school administrators and teachers will discuss issues relevant to early career STEM teachers.
