Biography

Elizabeth is the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Manager for the City of Cedar Rapids. She is charged with
executing the City’s first comprehensive diversity, equity
and inclusion strategy by promoting and enhancing DEI
within the organization through programs, training and
services.

Most recently Elizabeth worked as the Site Manager and
Workforce Development Coordinator for non-profit Urban
Dreams; where she focused on supporting local historically
marginalized populations in obtaining gainful employment
opportunities, youth & adult learning and development sessions as well as sustaining hunger
relief efforts. Prior to that, she worked at Collins Aerospace as the Diversity and Community
Relations coordinator and as the site contact for their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
Certified by Columbia University in Universal Design for Learning and as an inclusive
teacher within college classrooms, she has a driven focus to share opportunities with
underrepresented youth as she serves as a board member on the Iowa Governor's SE STEM
Advisory Council and Chairs the Kirkwood Alumni Leadership Council’s Nominations
Committee.

Elizabeth holds an AAS in Business Management focusing on Human Resources from
Kirkwood Community College and an Undergraduate in Business Administration as well as a
Graduate in Strategic Leadership (MSL) from Mount Mercy University.
